2026-2027 Budget items
The Financial Aid Office at Central Lakes College has developed a comprehensive financial aid program based on federal, state, institutional and private resources to help students cover the cost of education. CLC annually awards assistance to about 75 percent of its student body and has awarded over $18 million aid dollars annually to its students. Therefore, no prospective student should hesitate to apply for admission because of financial circumstances. The CLC Financial Aid Team encourages all students to apply for financial aid.
In order for the Financial Aid office to determine your financial eligibility, we must first establish what we feel your costs are associated with attending Central Lakes College for an academic year. Tuition figures are estimated until approved by the MnSCU Board.
All budget items shown are for nine months and attending full time (15+ credits per term). Students attending less than full-time are eligible for financial aid; however, budget, family contributions, and maximum awards may be adjusted proportionately for less than full-time attendance.

(a). Based on three year average of book charging at the CLC Bookstore for both fall and spring semesters.
(b). Assumes single individual living in an efficiency/studio apartment using DEED data by county.
(c). Assumes single individual food costs using DEED data.
(d). Based on an allowance of 59 round trip miles per day, three days per week, at the IRS business mileage allowance rate of 72.5 cents per mile.
(e). Includes costs for clothing, laundry, personal care, recreation, etc. per MN DEED data.
(f). Students are not assessed this fee by CLC, but a fee is taken out of loan proceeds by the government when borrowing a federal student loan.
(g). Facility Fee is $2.50/credit with a cap of $80/year
(h). Athletic fee is $4.47/credit with a cap of $75/term, $150/year.
(i). Transcript/Grad fee = $10/semester cap and charged on the very first credit taken. Student pays full $10 fee/semester even if only taking one credit.
