CLC Foundation announces new scholarship established by the Elbow Foundation
The Central Lakes College Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of three new scholarship opportunities made possible through the generosity of the Elbow Foundation. These scholarships will support annual awards for a student in each of the Automotive, Diesel Equipment, and Heavy Equipment Operations and Maintenance programs.
The Elbow Foundation, inspired by the legacy of the original Grand Elbows and proudly rooted at Shep’s on 6th in Brainerd, is dedicated to supporting Central Lakes College and the broader Brainerd lakes area through community, generosity, and a spirit of fun. Their mission is to raise funds for college scholarships, especially for students pursuing technical careers, support other non-profit organizations, and contribute to local community initiatives that make this region so special. The Elbow Foundation is proud to work alongside the CLC Foundation to create opportunities and positive impact for local students and families.
Zack Barker, Elbow Foundation President states, “These scholarships represent exactly why the Elbow Foundation exists: To create meaningful opportunities for local students pursuing technical careers. Through the support of our community and fundraising efforts like the Elbow Foundation Open, we’re able to turn a great day on the golf course into real, lasting impact for students at Central Lakes College. We’re proud to partner with the CLC Foundation and excited to see where these students go next.”
Jon Aga, Central Lakes College’s Associate Vice President of Advancement, added, “We are honored to partner with the Elbow Foundation in supporting our technical students. Their support not only makes our students’ educational journeys more affordable but also demonstrates their commitment to supporting our next generation of community leaders.”
This year’s Elbow Foundation scholarships have been awarded to Automotive student Jonathan Tienter, Diesel student Isaac Lindberg, and Heavy Equipment student Kellen Nelson.
