Music students awarded $20K in scholarships

Four Central Lakes College Music Associate of Fine Arts students have received scholarships to pursue a bachelor’s degree in music. These awards include both academic merit-based scholarships and music-specific scholarships, which required each student to prepare and perform an audition at their respective institutions. In total, the graduating students were awarded approximately $20,000 in scholarships across the following institutions: University of Minnesota-Duluth, University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, and Bemidji State University.

“We are incredibly proud of these students and their accomplishments,” said Kyle Brown, DM, CLC Music instructor. “Earning scholarships through competitive auditions is no small feat, and it highlights not only their talent and work ethic, but also how well our Music AFA program prepares students to succeed at top bachelor’s‑level. While we will certainly miss them, we are excited to see all they will achieve in the future.”
