Question 1: Will my guests need tickets to the graduation ceremony?
Yes. All guests are required to have a ticket to ensure compliance event venue capacity limits.
Graduating students will receive four(4) guest tickets by attending the campus Grad Wrap events April 17-19.
Question 2: Will I need a ticket to attend my graduation ceremony?
No. Graduating students do not need tickets to participate in the commencement ceremony.
Question 3: How many tickets will I get?
To safely accommodate you and your guests, the number of guest tickets is determined based on the number of confirmed students who indicated “yes” to attending the ceremony on their graduation application by the published deadline date. For the Spring 2023 commencement ceremonies, students who indicated “yes” to attending commencement on their graduation application by the published deadline will receive four (4) guest tickets.
Tickets are non-replaceable and do not have monetary value. The college does not support or condone the selling of guest tickets. CLC is not responsible for lost, stolen, destroyed or deleted guest tickets.
Question 4: Do guests who need accessible seating need tickets?
Yes. Guests who require accessible seating should contact the CLC Accessibility Services at 218-855-8175 at least 48 hours in advance of the event.
Question 5: Do students who are receiving multiple degrees receive more tickets?
No. Please note that each student is only given one set of tickets regardless of how many degrees are being earned. (For example, a dual degree student gets 1 set of tickets, not 2)
Question 6: What happens if guest tickets are lost?
Guest tickets cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed. We are not responsible for lost, stolen or destroyed guest tickets. Commencement guest tickets are not for resale.
Question 7: Can I get extra guest tickets?
Graduating students may request additional tickets by contacting askclc@clcmn.edu and will be placed on a waiting list if tickets become available. Students may want to check with their classmates to see if anyone has guest tickets that they are willing to give you.
Question 8: Why are guest tickets required for Commencement?
Safety is the first and foremost reason for controlling the number of guests in our venues. We give each graduating student a designated amount of guest tickets by taking the maximum occupancy of the space, subtracting the number of expected candidates, and divided the remaining seats by the number of expected candidates at each ceremony to determine how many guest tickets each candidate receives.
Question 9: Are there assigned seats for guests?
No. All seats are general admission. Seats are first-come, first served. Guests with tickets will be seated beginning one hour before the ceremony.
Question 10: Will CLC commencement events be streamed live?
Yes, CLC commencement ceremonies will also be streamed live on CLC Broadcasting YouTube channel.
Video – Live Streaming
Watch the live stream for all events on YouTube.
Photography
Central Lakes College is planning to provide professional photos of each graduate during the ceremony. These high-quality photos will be available to download for free the morning following the ceremony.

There will be several photo opportunities before and after the ceremony. Graduates can take photos at one of several photo stations/photo backgrounds throughout the campus or outside.
