CLC reports strong enrollment growth for Fall 2026

Central Lakes College continues to experience growth as more students choose CLC for its affordable, high-quality education and career-focused opportunities.

CLC recorded an 8.7 percent increase in enrollment headcount, along with a 3.1 percent increase in credits taken by students this fall (full-year equivalent enrollment).

College leaders attribute the enrollment gains to several key factors, including CLC’s commitment to high-quality academic and career programs, efforts to keep higher education affordable and accessible, strong partnerships with local schools and employers, expanded recruitment and outreach initiatives, and the supportive learning environment students experience across its campuses.

“Students are choosing Central Lakes College because they recognize the value of a quality education that leads to meaningful career and transfer opportunities,” said Dr. Kim Lynch, Interim President of CLC. “We’re proud to provide affordable pathways to success while maintaining strong connections with the communities we serve.”

The growth at CLC outpaced statewide trends. Across the Minnesota State system, enrollment increased by an average of 0.3 percent in headcount but decreased by 0.6 percent in FYE. This highlights CLC’s strong performance and continued momentum in attracting and retaining students.
