The Central Lakes Wind Symphony announces Spring season and actively seeks new members 

The Central Lakes Wind Symphony — a semi‑professional ensemble comprised of Central Lakes College music majors, more than 35 professional music educators, and distinguished musicians from across Central Minnesota  —will resume rehearsals for its spring season on Monday, February 23, from 7-9 p.m. in the Rehearsal Hall (Room E471) on the Brainerd campus, 501 West College Drive. 

The Symphony is excited to announce that it is currently seeking new members for the spring season. Musicians of all backgrounds are invited to join, with an immediate opening for bassoon. 

Committed to vibrant and passionate music‑making, the Central Lakes Wind Symphony presents formal concerts and hosts high school band festivals, including combined massed‑band performances that celebrate excellence in wind and percussion artistry. The ensemble represents a rare collaboration of collegiate performers, seasoned educators, and community musicians unified in their dedication to artistic distinction. 

Membership is open to: 

  • Advanced All‑State‑caliber high school students 
  • CLC students and music majors 
  • Professional music educators 
  • Community members passionate about high‑level music performance 

Information about the Symphony’s upcoming 2027 European Tour will also be shared at rehearsals. Participation in the tour is optional.
