Emergency Assistance

Introducing CLC’s RAK (Random Act of Kindness) Program

Are you experiencing a financial emergency?
Central Lakes College may be able to help. We have funds available for students who qualify. The funds are meant for expenses outside of school such as: rent, utilities, mechanic bill, medical bill, etc. A student can be awarded a one-time award of up to $500.

Central Lakes College wants to help you succeed in college

– Must have applied for financial aid for the current term.

– Must be experiencing “an unforeseen expense that, if not resolved quickly, could lead to the students departure from college and loss of momentum toward completion.”

– Can only be awarded a one-time RAK up to $500.

Step 1: Please visit with an Advisor to determine eligibility and apply for a RAK award.

The Advisor will ensure you’re eligible and inform you on the steps that need to be taken.

Step 2: If eligible, you will be asked to provide documentation of said need (bill, a lease, an estimate, invoice, etc.).

Step 3: With an advisor, you will be walked through the application and submit for approval.

Step 4: Within 48 business hours the student will be notified if their application was approved.

Step 5: If the student is approved the payment to the third party will be ready within 48 business hours.

In conjunction with the Dash Emergency Grant Program, and the Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation and CLC Foundation donors.
