Cultural Thursday is Central Lakes College’s monthly cultural literacy program, where we host speakers from around the world to broaden our understanding of diverse peoples, perspectives, and places.

On October 2, 2025, we welcome musician and entrepreneur Jeff Vee for his presentation, Music Across Generations. The son of 1960s pop icon Bobby Vee, Jeff grew up immersed in the transformative power of music to connect people across backgrounds and experiences.

Through his work with Rockhouse Productions, Jeff continues that legacy by producing concerts and events that bring world-renowned artists to Minnesota audiences. In his talk, he will share his personal journey, stories from his father’s groundbreaking career, and reflections on how music builds bridges across cultures and helps us better understand one another.

Upcoming Cultural Thursday events will also take place on the first Thursday of November 2025, and February, March, and April 2026.
