Office 365 Migration – What’s Changing
This is a list of systems and services that will be changing as part of the Spring 2014 migration to StarID / Office 365

Faculty/Staff E-Mail | Novell GroupWise | Office 365 / Outlook. (We will be migrating your GroupWise e-mail, calendar items and contacts to Office 365 / Outlook) |
Student E-Mail | Google Apps Gmail | Google Apps Gmail (plus students will get Office 365 OneDrive and Office software download) |
Instant Messaging | Novell GroupWise Messenger | Office 365 / Lync (Lync also supports voice and video calls) |

User Home Directory (aka G: Drive) | Limited space allocation-usually less than 1GB. Not easily accessable from off-campus. | 2GB local storage allocation, plus 25GB of Office 365 cloud storage. Easily access files in Office 365 cloud storage with built-in web apps for Word, Excel, PowePoint |
Shared Drive(s) | Many different drive letters (S:, P:, I:, etc.) and confusing structure | Single Location/Drive with sub folders based on rights. Eventually encourage users to utilize SharePoint for shared document libraries |
