U.K. Poet Laureate to visit CLC

Central Lakes College’s Verse Like Water program presents United Kingdom Poet Laureate Simon Armitage for a poetry reading at noon on Wednesday on November 15 in the Chalberg Theatre, Brainerd campus. A book signing and informal craft talk will follow. The event is free and open to the public.

In England, Armitage teaches at Sheffield University and is also Poetry Professor at Oxford. He has written extensively for radio and television, and he is also a translator who has given us new versions of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Pearl, and The Owl and the Nightingale.
