Chatty Hour returns to CLC

Central Lakes College is excited to announce the return of Chatty Hour, a community-driven conversation event held every Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:30 PM in the cafeteria of the Brainerd campus. This initiative, which provides a welcoming space for conversation and social connection, is free and open to the public.
This extension of Chatty Hour builds upon the success of the Fall 2024 Chatty Hour initiative, which was made possible through generous support from Essentia Health, Crow Wing County, and the Central Minnesota Council on Aging. Designed to foster meaningful conversations and strengthen social bonds, Chatty Hour invites individuals of all backgrounds to engage in casual, thought-provoking discussions in a relaxed setting.
The program is part of a broader initiative led by Riaz Patel, an Emmy-nominated television producer dedicated to fostering deeper human connections through open dialogue in his program ConnectEffect, which was presented in Brainerd in January and September of 2024.
“Creating spaces for community members to connect and engage is more important than ever,” said Joey Yow, Director of the Performing Arts Center at Central Lakes College. “We’re thrilled to continue offering Chatty Hour as a way to build relationships, share ideas, and promote intergenerational relationships within Brainerd and beyond.”
Participants can drop in at any time during the session to meet new people, share experiences, and enjoy a friendly, nonjudgmental atmosphere.
