Verse Like Water hosts Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Gregory Pardlo 

Verse Like Water: The visiting poet program of Central Lakes College presents Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Gregory Pardlo on Feb. 12 in the Chalberg Theatre, Brainerd campus. A poetry reading is at noon, followed by an informal craft talk at 1:30 p.m. Attendees will receive a free copy of Dr. Pardlo’s newest poetry book, Spectral Evidence. 

“American poet Gregory Pardlo is only the third American to win the Pulitzer Prize (in 2015) with a second book of poetry,” said Jeff Johnson, Director of Verse Like Water and CLC English instructor. “His poems are deeply concerned with our human condition, and especially the things that can rip a life apart… Dr. Pardlo is among the great sweethearts of the American poetry scene, and he teaches for NYU on the Abu Dahbi campus.”
