The community is invited to attend the next Rosenmeier Forum titled “The Future of Federalism— The sharing of power between Washington and the States” featuring former U.S. Congressman Gil Gutknecht. The forum will take place at 7 p.m. on Monday, October 14 in the Central Lakes College Chalberg Theatre, Brainerd campus. It will also be live streamed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrPSR62upqA
“The Rosenmeier Center is very fortunate to have former U.S. Congressman Gil Gutknecht for its speaker on the important topic of federalism,” said Steve Wenzel, Executive Director of the Rosenmeier Center for State and Local Government. “This is an argument that took place when the Constitution was written in 1787 and it remains so today.”
Wenzel stated that Gutknecht is a gifted, articulate speaker who also writes extensive OP/ED and editorial columns for Townhall.com. He is also a frequent speaker on college and university campuses across the nation.
“From Portland, Maine, to Portland, Oregon, Gutknecht is a very knowledgeable public servant and has spoken on the critical national issues of our day,” Wenzel said. “We are excited for him to do so as CLC.”
