Community members are invited to experience the new artist showcase in the Central Lakes College Art Gallery. Artwork featured includes the ceramic work of students enrolled in the Intermediate Ceramics course, and is hosted by instructor Casey Hochhalter.
Featured artists include: Hope Gienger, Jacob Weber, Kate Haglin, Kathee Stanwood, Sally Aadland, Siera Turner and Tatiana Colon.
Over the last four months, these artists have been studying ceramics in a more in-depth manner, becoming familiar with different clay bodies, new clay decoration techniques, manipulation of larger amounts of clay, and new glaze options. In this showcase you will see both functional ceramics like cups, mugs, bowls, and plates, as well as sculptural ceramics.
The CLC Art Gallery is free and open to the public. It is located near the Brainerd campus library. The gallery is open weekdays from 8am-430pm through May 11. Please feel free to sign our guestbook below and leave your thoughts.
