Visiting students: Frequently asked questions

Need to register for a few courses at CLC while enrolled at another college/university? Enroll as a visiting student! Visiting students are eligible to register for up to 18 credits each semester with no more than 22 credits total between all Minnesota State schools. All CLC courses are available to visiting students who meet pre-requisite requirements. Many students choose CLC due to its inexpensive tuition, smaller class sizes, and to receive instruction from expert instructors in their field.

Visiting Students Frequently Asked Questions

How do I determine if a course is available to a visiting student? All of CLC’s courses are offered each semester in eServices. Make sure Central Lakes College is listed as the College/University, and select your desired semester, and search by subject for the course.

How do I register for the course(s)?

When you select the course you would like to register for, add the cart to your wish list and proceed to register for the course by entering your StarID username and password. If you do not have a StarID, you can create one by clicking on the “Sign up now” button on the registration screen.
