Students place in welding competition

Two Central Lakes College students placed in a recent SkillsUSA state welding competition in Anoka.

Ben Lindbom, Staples, earned fourth place and Joey Trego, Shevlin, earned fifth.

Each student competed in six different categories. In each category, students had 40 minutes to fabricate a weldment from a blueprint. Each weldment used a different welding process.
