Next Rosenmeier Forum to focus on future of higher education in Minnesota

Darrin Rosha Richard_Hanson18The next Rosenmeier Forum is at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 18 in the Chalberg Theatre, Central Lakes College Brainerd campus.

The forum, titled “The Future of Higher Education in the State of Minnesota,” will feature two speakers: Dr. Richard Hanson, president of Bemidji State University, and Darrin Rosha, Board of Regents, University of Minnesota.

Each will speak for about 20 minutes and will then take questions from the audience.

“This forum will be most informative and beneficial to attend because of the growing problems and concerns facing higher education today, both in Minnesota and throughout the nation,” said Steve Wenzel, executive Director of the Rosenmeier Center and local government instructor at CLC. “Both President Hanson and Regent Rosha have been in the bird’s-eye seat in higher education in Minnesota and will add great perspective to where higher education is headed and the opportunities for young people to attain a higher education in Minnesota and attain their career goals.”
