Dental Club fundraiser

The Dental Assistant Club at Central Lakes College is raising funds to help students pay for state and federal licensure exams that cost up to $500 and are required for credentialing. Club members are offering dental-strength professional Crest Whitestrips Supreme at $43 for a box of 84 strips. “This is a simple way to whiten your teeth right at home yourself instead of paying hundreds of dollars to whiten your teeth at a dental office,” said Stephanie Trutwin, club president. The No. 1 recommended brand of whitening systems used by U.S. dental professionals is only available through the Dental Assistant students, who are set up mid-day in the Commons on the Brainerd campus with a display and sales center. The strips may also be purchased directly in the Dental Assistant classroom (W244) or from adviser Julie Morgan at 855-8225. The club is also hosting an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast at Applebee’s in Baxter Jan. 22 from 8 to 10 a.m., where $5 buys your breakfast and provides addtional financial support to the students for their Certified Dental Assistant exams.
