Radium Girls by D.W. Gregory. Set in 1926, Radium Girls tells the poignant story of Grace Fryer, a young factory worker who battles the U.S. Radium Corporation after she and her colleagues fall ill from radium exposure. This ensemble drama explores themes of justice, health, and the commercialization of science. Directed by Travis Chaput, known for his work on PUFFS and High School Musical JR, the play runs from October 11-19, 2024. Roles are available for approximately 10 actors, with parts for young adults, adults, and seniors.

A Christmas Carol by Patrick Barlow. Patrick Barlow’s adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic holiday tale uses five actors to bring to life characters such as Scrooge, Tiny Tim, and Bob Cratchit. This imaginative retelling highlights the transformation of Ebenezer Scrooge from miser to generous spirit. Directed by Amy Borash, who recently directed The PromFrozen JR, and Something Rotten!, the show runs from December 4-8, 2024. Five roles are available for young adults, adults, and seniors.

It’s Murder, Dontcha Know? by Mary Aalgard. Adapted from Jeanne Cooney’s novel, this brand-new play follows Dorris Connor, a woman who, after a hard life on a Minnesota farm, moves to a quiet Scandinavian community. Her retirement plans are interrupted by a series of crimes involving her children that she must set out to solve in this cozy and quirky murder-mystery. This production, directed by Guy Kelm, is a premiere production of the script – the first time it will be fully performed on stage! Actors will work with the director and playwright throughout the Fall to finalize the script, and then begin stage rehearsals in January. Performances are scheduled for February 27-March 2, 2025. Twelve roles are available for young adults, adults, and seniors, with several roles being available for actors 50+.

The Tell-Tale Heart by Luella E. McMahon. Based on Edgar Allan Poe’s chilling story, this play follows a young man who commits the “perfect crime” but is haunted by the sound of his victim’s beating heart. This 30-minute touring production will perform 4-6 times at schools across the Brainerd lakes area in the Fall of 2024. Directed by Guy Kelm. The cast includes one young adult/adult actor and two adult/senior actors playing multiple roles. Actors should have availability to perform during daytime hours.
