4 CLC Diesel students awarded national scholarships

Four Central Lakes College Diesel Technology students were awarded national scholarships from the Noregon Education Program. The scholarship recipients include: Erik Bettis ($500), Hank Bemlott ($1,000), Daniel Miller ($500), and Caleb Neal ($500). 

Twenty total students nationwide were selected for scholarships out of a pool of 279 applicants. These four CLC students were also the only recipients in Minnesota. 

Students had to thoroughly answer four essay questions about their diesel education, their experience in working with diesel trucks and equipment, and they had to explain what kind of positive change they believe they can bring to the industry.
