CLC adds Associate of Fine Arts Degree in Music

Students can now major in music for the first time at Central Lakes College, with the introduction of the college’s Associate of Fine Arts Degree in Music.

This new degree is designed for students who want to try out pursing music in higher education. Students have the option to go as far as completing a minor in music, or complete the program and continue as a junior at one of the four-year schools in which CLC has an articulation agreement with.

“We’re thrilled to offer a great fully-accredited music major degree experience,” said Jonathan Laflamme, CLC’s Director of Instrument Music. “This degree brings students all the opportunities of a large university, but with the smaller teacher-to-student learning ratio, zero textbook fees and offered at a fraction of the cost.”

CLC students also have access to seven music ensembles and a European tour travel study, which happens every other year.

The Associate of Fine Arts Degree in Music will be available this fall. For more information, please visit www.clcmn.edu/liberal-artstransfer-a-a-degree-2/music-associate-of-fine-arts-degree/ or contact Jonathan Laflamme at jonathan.laflamme@clcmn.edu or 218-855-8215.
