Verse Like Water to feature U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo

Verse Like Water, the visiting poet program of Central Lakes College, in collaboration with Riverland College and the Olseth Foundation presents our current U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo. The event will be streamed live at noon on Thursday, November 12. 

Joy is a major voice in American literature, and she is also an activist, musician, and writer of memoir and essays. Many high schools are involved in this state-wide event, and the Olseth Foundation is graciously sending out 1250 copies of her latest book, An American Sunrise to indigenous students across Minnesota.
