GRAND RAPIDS — Carlie Sweet slammed 10 kills and fueled the defense with six blocks as the Central Lakes Raiders volleyball team defeated Itasca, 3-0, in a Northern Division of the a Minnesota College Athletic Conference match Friday. CLC and Itasca each entered contest with an 8-3 league record. CLC’s win solidified a hold on second place in the North. Alanna Hansen and Emily Weber each had eight kills and Abbi Knutson launched 37 set assists. Libero Hayley Hornick had 16 digs. “This was pretty much a game for second place and we showed up,” said Head Coach Jane Peterson. Set scores were 25-21, 25-19, 25-15. CLC (14-10) is scheduled to play at Fond Du Lac today at noon. Go Raiders!
