CLC Celebrates Medical Assistant Recognition Week

American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Teams Up with National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable (NCCRT) to Fight Colorectal Cancer during Medical Assistant Recognitions Week

Join the Medical Assistant Program at Central Lakes College in Staples as they celebrate Medical Assistants week October 19-23, 2020, as designated by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) in collaboration with the National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable. During this special week Medical Assistants across the country will be recognized and honored.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second leading cause of cancer in the U.S. It is recommended to be screened at age 45, screening can help with early detection and treatment is less extensive and successful.

Because the Medical Assistant plays a vital role in preventative screening, the AAMA is partnering with NCCRT this year to empower medical assistants to fight colorectal cancer.
