The Central Lakes College Community Band and the Wadena Area Community Band will hold two combined concerts.
In a program of new and traditional music, the bands will perform separate concerts and combine for two selections. Music ranges from familiar melodies and composers to new, fresh compositions from the leading young composers in the concert band field today.
The Brainerd concert will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10 in CLC’s gymnasium. Admission is $5 for adults. CLC students and children 12 and under get in free. The proceeds go toward expenses for the 2017 Ireland tour.
The Wadena concert will be performed at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 15 in the Wadena Memorial Auditorium. A free-will offering will be accepted, with funds going toward a WACB Music Scholarship fund for area students going on to college in music.
