Unique Opportunity for CLC Machine Tool Students

The Machine Tool Technology
Program at Central Lakes College had a unique opportunity to introduce students
to industry training. Kevin Cook, the President of Magnum Machining (Deerwood
MN), offered to bring representatives from Mitsubishi Materials USA Corporation
for a three hour seminar on modern machining practices of the most current
tooling available. John Zaremba and Daryl Reinhardt gave presentations on
Machine tooling. Their lecture focused on efficient material removal and how to
maximize high-tech tooling.

This link between education
and industry allows students to see modern machining from the view of experts
in the field. It also exposes students to local employers like Magnum Machining
who are currently seeking skilled students for employment.

Magnum Machining
Incorporated is a world class Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) manufacturing
corporation. Magnum contracts to design, engineer, manufacture and assemble
precision Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) products, custom and production
machined parts, and component assemblies.
