Rock ‘n’ Roll Extravaganza with Car Show and The Holy Rocka Rollaz

The Central Lakes Community Performing Arts Center presents an afternoon of rock ‘n’ roll with The Holy Rocka Rollaz at the West Side Tent at Central Lakes College, located at 501 West College Drive, Brainerd, MN 56401. Get transported back to the fabulous 50s on July 21 at 2 PM.

This dynamic trio captures the classic sounds of early rock ‘n’ roll and rockabilly legends like Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, and many more. Their performances are a nostalgic journey filled with pure early American rock ‘n’ roll, bringing the sound, look, and memories of one of America’s most treasured eras to life. The band’s front man, Mark Flora, along with drummer Matt Alexander and stand-up bassist/vocalist Lisa Lynn, deliver a performance that connects with audiences of all ages, creating an energetic and joyous atmosphere that gets everyone on their feet.

Adding to the excitement, a special car show will be held at the south parking circle of CLC at 12 PM, just before the concert. This is a fantastic opportunity for car enthusiasts and music lovers alike to come together and enjoy a day of classic cars and timeless rock ‘n’ roll. (Participants who register their cars online for the car show before July 12 receive a free ticket to the concert.)

The Holy Rocka Rollaz have played on many notable stages, including the Minnesota State Fair, the legendary Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa, and numerous fairs and festivals across the Upper Midwest. Their debut performance was in a ministry capacity at the South Dakota State Penitentiary, and since then, they have brought their love of 50s rock ‘n’ roll to countless venues and events. Mark Flora proudly shares that playing at the Surf Ballroom, where Buddy Holly performed his last show, remains one of his proudest moments.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board grant, thanks to legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
