Brixius joins CLC as Farm Business Management instructor

Central Lakes College is excited to announce the hire of Nicole (Niki) Brixius as a Farm Business Management instructor for the Milaca area. Brixius brings an extensive background in agriculture and will be a great asset for farmers in the Milaca area.

Brixius was raised on a beef farm in Hillman, MN. She raised and showed registered South Devons throughout high school and college. She graduated from the University of Minnesota-Crookston with a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Business with a minor in Animal Science. After college, she worked on an organic beef farm, a ranch in Montana, on a grass seed and sheep operation in New Zealand. Brixius also started her own equine bodywork and nutrition business.

She now lives in the Buckman area with her husband, goats and horses. For the last four years she had worked at Sunrise Ag Coop as a store manager.

Brixius is excited to work with students and to share her passion and knowledge of the agriculture industry.

“I’m looking forward to working with the agriculture community and helping farmers maximize their operations through the FBM program,” she said.
