CLC announces addition of the Spanish Transfer Pathway A.A. Degree

Central Lakes College is pleased to announce the addition of a Spanish Transfer Pathway A.A. Degree.

Transfer Pathway degrees are created by teams of educators from the Minnesota State system. These degrees allow students to earn Associate in Arts Degree at Central Lakes College and then transfer seamlessly to Minnesota State universities and earn a bachelor’s degree in four years. Students who complete Transfer Pathway degrees will be guaranteed junior status upon admission to a university and can complete their degree in an additional 60 credits. Students must still meet any special admission requirements for the major.

“We are excited to offer this opportunity to students,” said Martha Kuehn, CLC’s Dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences. “Students can now complete our new Spanish Transfer Pathway AA Degree at CLC, and then complete their bachelor’s degree at any Minnesota State university in two years. The powerful transfer pathway option ensures that all credits completed at CLC will be accepted by the university and count towards the bachelor’s degree.”

Students can start the Spanish Transfer Pathway A.A. Degree in Fall 2020. Additional Transfer Pathway degrees will be announced in the near future.

Other current Transfer Pathway offerings include:

  • Economics Transfer Pathway A.A. Degree
  • Exercise Science Transfer Pathway A.S. Degree
  • Psychology Transfer Pathway A.A. Degree
  • Sociology Transfer Pathway A.A. Degree
