Students, community invited to nominate CLC educator for statewide award

Community members are invited to nominate their favorite CLC educator for an annual statewide award.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2017-18 Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees Award for Excellence in Teaching.

This award is an honor bestowed upon Minnesota State faculty to acknowledge and reward exceptional individual professional accomplishment and to encourage ongoing excellence in teaching. Central Lakes College has been fortunate to have so many wonderful, caring, engaged and outstanding faculty in its ranks. In recent years, several of its faculty have been successfully recognized through this award.
All CLC nominees must be currently full-time & unlimited, tenured, and must have at least three years of full-time teaching service at CLC. Nominators can be any of the following: faculty colleague, administrator, student, staff member, alumni, or community member. Faculty, however, may not self-nominate.

Once designated as a nominee for CLC, the faculty member must create a teaching portfolio to demonstrate consistent exemplary teaching and to provide evidence of their contributions to student learning.

Nominations are open now until Nov. 17. To receive a copy of the nomination form, please contact Dave Bissonette at 218-855-8178 or dbissonette@clcmn.edu.
