CLC Medical Assistant student receives scholarship

Central Lakes College Medical Assistant student Erika Knutson was named a scholarship recipient from the Minnesota Society of Medical Assistants.

Knutson, from Staples, is one of three scholarship winners to receive a $1,000 award to go toward school expenses.

“Erika has been an excellent student, both in her academics and hands-on skills. She is dependable, self-motivated and conscientious in everything she does,” said Dawn Michel, Medical Assistant Program director/instructor. “She is respectful to her peers, as well as staff and faculty at the college. Erika always comes to class prepared. She works with other students as a peer tutor in study groups and displays teamwork in the classroom.”
