
Director, signed a symbolic, over-sized replica of the $405,991 check representing a grant to the NJPA for a distance learning project. The college will be heavily involved in furthering educational opportunities in 12 school districts as well as Lakewood Health System, Staples. The NJPA provided $205,000 in matching funds for the Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) program. Schools besides CLC connected to the system will be Browerville, Bertha-Hewitt, Pillager, Sebeka, Crosby-Ironton, Staples-Motley, Menahga, Verndale, Eagle Valley, New York Mills, Wadena-Deer Creek, and Henning. Steve Wenzel, former state USDA Rural Development director and legislator and now a political science instructor at CLC, was part of the college delegation to the project kick-off.
