James Sewell Ballet

The James Sewell Ballet is a nationally-recognized contemporary chamber ballet company. Its mission is to transform dance, artists and audiences through rich collaboration, education, and equitable opportunities. The company, when founded 33 years ago, re-imagined what a contemporary ballet company can look like: a chamber dance troupe that blends the elegance of classical ballet, the freedom of modern dance, and the can-do spirit of vaudeville. JSB performances regularly share a spectrum of emotions and ideas, and have wide appeal for both dance aficionados and newcomers to the art form.
