5.12.1 Military Service and Disabled Veterans to provide constant guidelines for students who are called to active duty with military service and veterans who have a service-connected disability as certified by the US Dept of Veterans Affairs who are students and whose service-connected medical condition or medical treatment requirements reasonably prevent the person's attendance. New Hotline for Homeless Veterans--The Department of Veterans' Affairs (VA) has announced a new telephone hotline to provide emergency support and resources to homeless veterans. The hotline of the new National Call Center for Homeless Veterans at 1-877-4AID. VET will provide homeless veterans with timely assistance and coordinated access to VA and community services. Family members, workers at community agencies and non-VA providers also may call the hotline to find out about the many programs and services available to assist homeless veterans.
