USelect

What is it?
u.select is a multistate, Web-based transfer information system that provides fast and accurate course and credit information to college and university students and their advisors. u.select is a collaborative effort by Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and the University of Minnesota.

What does it do?
The u.select system helps transfer students move from school to school and earn degrees in a timely manner. Users can obtain program information, course descriptions and equivalencies, student services Web sites (admissions, financial aid and others) and maintain a personal "degree audit" with courses and grades they have earned.

How does it work?
Through one entry, u.select, a potential transfer student has direct access to course acceptability, equivalency and applicability among participating institutions across the United States, enabling students to immediately see how their courses fulfill degree requirements at the desired college or university.

Who is it for?
u.select is for students, faculty, advisors, and administrators.

How much does it cost?
It's free.

How do I start?
1. Start by exploring u.select
2. Register on the site and record your password for quick reference.
3. Contact the admissions office of the campus you are interested in attending.

Web site features:

Course Descriptions: Read course descriptions from u.select or from an institution's Web site.

Academic Programs: View information about the programs offered by a u.select institution.

Course Equivalency Guide: View how courses transfer from one institution to another.

Your Courses: Maintain a list of courses and grades for use in running planning guides.

Planning Guides: Run an unofficial planning guide (degree audit) to learn how the courses saved in "Your Courses" may transfer and apply to a degree program.

Student Services: Find student services Web sites (admissions, financial aid, and others).

Information obtained through u.select should be considered unofficial and must be verified once the student has enrolled into the college or university of their choice.
