Courses & Registration
A student may add and drop classes from his/her schedule without financial obligation during the free drop/add period each term. The first five class days of fall and spring terms and during the first three class days of summer term are the free drop/add periods. If a class meets once a week or has a start date different than the published calendar, students will be allowed to add that class up to the second class meeting. Students wishing to drop a once-a-week or late start class must do so one class day after the first class session to avoid the tuition and fees charges. (Students receiving financial aid need to be aware that doing this may have an effect on their financial aid award.)
To find out when you can add or drop a course for the new semester:
- Click on "Registration Window".
- Change the semester if needed. (Click on "Registration Window" again if you needed to change the semester.)
- Once the schedule is added to the E-Services site you will be able to see when the Registration Window opens for you. The date given will be the earliest date you are allowed to add or drop a course from your schedule.
To add a course:
- Click on "Find a Course" to search for a course.
- Click on "Quick Add (Register)" if you know the Course ID# of the course you want to add.
Students may add a class after the first five days of the fall or spring term or after the first three days of summer term provided approval is obtained from the instructor and there is space available in the class. Students need to fill out the Add/Even Exchange of Credits form available in the Records and Registration office. Please note: Unless other funding arrangements have been made, payment in full is due at the time of registration if the class will be added after the free drop/add period.
It is the student's responsibility to verify their schedule is correct. To view your schedule:
- Click on "View/Modify Class Schedule".
