Career Description
Photo imaging students develop foundational imaging and workplace skills sought by employers. The curriculum includes general and studio photography, digital file manipulation and management, lighting, photo print production, print finishing, software, video and editing, color science, principles of sales, marketing, and customer service. The program serves a broad range of industries that include the photo and graphics industry, now called imaging. Demand for trained technical personnel is high.
Program Information
The Photo Equipment and Technical Services Program consists of an ambitious, technical core in imaging and components of general education. Students in this program take courses in troubleshooting, maintenance, and electronics, in addition to an imaging core. Central Lakes College also offers related options in this field, including an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) or Diploma in Photographic Imaging Technology or a Certificate in Matting and Framing. Students choose a program option to meet their specific career goals.
