Program Information
Central Lakes College, in cooperation with the Minnesota School of Diving in Brainerd, offers three program options for students: Underwater Commercial Diver Tender, Underwater Photography, and Underwater Search and Recover. All three programs are characterized by a curriculum that includes a series of underwater diving courses taught by Minnesota School of Diving personnel who are adjunct faculty for CLC. Underwater diving courses will be held at the Minnesota School of Diving facility as well as various lakes and training sites around the Brainerd Lakes area. Technical courses related to each program option are offered through existing programs at CLC.

NOTE: Students enrolling in this certificate program MUST HAVE Open Water/SCUBA Certification prior to enrolling.

Program Learning Outcomes
Students will demonstrate safety techniques according to the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) criteria.

Students will create underwater photos (macro, wide-angle, and normal) according to PADI criteria.

Students will demonstrate proficiency in all standards set by the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI).
