This course is designed to promote student and lifelong success. Course content generally includes academic skills, life management skills, and information about school & community. Specific topics include: goal setting, learning styles, college reading strategies, study techniques, time management, test-taking skills, memory techniques, stress reduction, critical thinking applications, communication tips, assertiveness, relationship building, cultural diversity awareness, health and wellness issues, college and community resources, financial planning and the many personal issues that may affect college students. This is a non-transferable General Education course. Serves as an Elective course.

 This course is designed to provide the student an opportunity to research and explore all aspects of employment seeking strategies. Students will develop job-search strategies that will lead to more effective marketing of their skills. Critical components of the course include: planning your job search, gathering the tools (resumes, cover letters), beginning the search, (interviewing) and evaluating job offers. This is a non-transferable General Education course.
