CLC (1-0) will face St. Cloud Tech (3-1) just before Thanksgiving

By: Osirus Washington

The Raiders basketball season has gotten off to a slow start, as both of their recent home games were cancelled due to weather. The only game they’ve played this season was on Nov. 11 at Fergus Falls.

Tonight, they’ll be back on the court playing against St. Cloud Tech – a team that has already played four games.

St. Cloud Tech beat Division II Junior College United Tribes on Saturday 94-90. In their most recent game, they lost to St. John’s University JV 84-81. While CLC’s lone game was a 71-47 rout of MSCTC, all four of St. Cloud Tech’s game have been decided by 4 points or fewer. Those close games St. Cloud have given them some extra experience and an upper hand against a team nearly full of freshman in CLC. They will also have home court advantage, and are averaging 82.5 points a game.

This should be an exciting, intense and high scoring game. Look for the Raiders to defy the odds and accept the challenge. Go cheer them on tonight at St. Cloud Tech. Women play at 6 p.m. and men play at 8 p.m.
