Women’s basketball wins over MSCTC

The CLC  women’s basketball team overcame a 14-point halftime deficit to comeback and win over MSCTC. Bigtime performances came from sophomores Tanisha Beetso and Kaitlin Spar. Each played 37 minutes, with Spar scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds on 75 percent shooting. Alea Lupa also played 37 minutes and scored in double figures on an efficient scoring night.

Fergus Falls had big performances from Haley Poehler and Emily Hendrickson off the bench. Lydia Klemetson struggled from the field, shooting just 4-13. Poehler had a double double, a game high 20 points and 13 rebounds. Hendrickson added 12 points in just 15 minutes off the bench.

CLC turned what looked like a bad blowout for Fergus Falls into an exciting win. The comeback win set the tone for the night. Their win was followed up by a 71-47 win by the Men’s team.

Look forward to the upcoming games they have vs. United Tribes on Friday at 6 p.m. and Bismarch State College on Saturday at noon.
