CLC’s Larry Lundblad named College President of the Year

IMG_5827Central Lakes College President Dr. Larry Lundblad was recently named College President of the Year by the Minnesota State College Student Association (MSCSA).

“For more than 10 years, you have led the helm of Central Lakes College and played an integral part in allowing hundreds of thousands of students make their dreams a reality: to receive one of the highest quality and affordable college educations in the state,” said Steve Sabin, a CLC alumni and office manager at the MSCSA, as he presented Lundblad with the award.

The nomination pool for the coveted honor included representatives from half of MnSCU’s two-year colleges. Lundblad received more nominations total that all of the other nominees combined, Sabin said.

Lundblad received a standing ovation from the college community as he was presented with the award.

“This award is a tremendous honor,” he said. “The most rewarding aspect of my career has been working directly with students as a teacher and later as college president. I have met so many phenomenal students along the way and have been excited to share in their many successes!”
