Central Lakes College’s Natural Resource Club recently received a $500 donation from the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association.
The college’s NR Club assists the MDHA Brainerd Chapter each year in colleting and preparing deer hides donated by Minnesota hunters as part of the Hides for Habitat program. Hundreds of hides are scraped, salted, stacked and loaded and sold each year to support habitat projects and deer hunting programs. The club also aids in the annual cleanup of the MDHA sponsored rifle range.
The financial support from the MDHA Chapter is used to fund club activities, such as students’ travel to and registration at professional conferences.
