Ex-Raider returns

Central Lakes College men’s basketball has a new coaching assistant: He is 6-6 Scott Savor, a Deerwood native,  former Crosby-Ironton High School standout, and former Raider during Coach Jim Russell’s first season at CLC. Scott created Secrets in Sports, a sports training business in Brainerd dedicated to personal development of athletes on and off the court or field. After 2 years at CLC, Scott played basketball at Moorhead State University and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. He earned a master’s degree from the University of Tennessee in Sports Psychology. While a graduate student at Tennessee, he was the strength coach for all sports. Scott has read over 4,000 books in the last nine years, all about sports performance and coaching. Savor
also has an extensive video collection; he claims that he has seen almost
everything on the topic of sports performance. Younger sister Krista was a 1999 All-American volleyball standout at CLC. Photo courtesy The Concordian
