Library - General Information
The Library provides for needs beyond the classroom with an electronic database
catalog and resource system. In addition to the traditional library services,
there are a number of on-line databases available. the book and media collection
is in excess of 40,000 volumes.
Through the use of the on-line catalog, a patron may also access more than 2.5
million titles through the PALS library consortium. Endless numbers of libraries
throughout the world can also be accessed via Internet connections.
Thousands periodical titles are available both in the collection and through
on-line databases. Many of the publications are provided in full-text. Through
the use of an interlibrary loan service, any number of books and periodicals
can be obtained for patrons.
Current topics are also accessible through a vertical clip file collection.
Additional study rooms are available for small group purposes. Included within
this Library are the Media Computer Center, the Skone Conservatory housing the
Humphrey Center for American Indian Studies, the Gordon Rosenmeier Center for
State and Local Government, the Center for the Americas, and a pre-school
children's library.
