Central Lakes College was created in 1995 by merging the liberal arts education offered by Brainerd Community College with the career training supplied by Brainerd/Staples Technical College. The college serves more than 4000 annually and offers liberal arts transfer education along with more than 60 career programs.

The college's Business and Industry Center provides customized training and development assistance for a variety of enterprises. CLC has cultivated strong ties with K-12 as well as other regional partners in education and industry. The well-equipped, modern campuses in Brainerd and Staples attract quality faculty, staff and students. The College is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System.

Anticipated Temporary Part-time/Adjunct Instructor Position Information:

CLC is always seeking positive energetic instructors to teach various courses as needs arise on a temporary part-time basis. The positions are not benefit eligible and usually require a one semester (approximately 16 weeks) commitment. The classes are usually not web-based and require the faculty to teach in a classroom setting. The Academic Affairs College Faculty Credentialing unit develops policies and procedures to assure qualified individuals perform faculty work in our two-year colleges through system-established faculty minimum qualifications under Board Policy 3.32 College Faculty Credentialing and Procedure 3.32.1 College Faculty Credentialing. This applies to faculty positions governed by the Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF) bargaining agreement.

Unofficial transcript(s) are accepted with application; official transcript(s) must be provided to Human Resources upon hire.

NOTICE: In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business, who use a rental or state vehicle, shall be required to conform to MnSCU's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.

MnSCU Minimum Qualifications:

Liberal Arts Curriculum: Must possess a Master's degree in field or Master's degree with 24 graduate quarter credits/16 graduate semester credits which apply to the major. http://www.cfc.mnscu.edu/fields/Code/credentials.php?action=list
