Are you interested in Heavy Equipment Training? Take a look at our Heavy Equipment Training program on the Central Lakes College campus in Staples, Minnesota.

You will learn heavy equipment operations and maintain road graders, dozers, scrapers, backhoes, excavators, loaders and trucks. Caterpillar, John Deere, and Komatsu are some of the brand names you will experience. On our 640-acre training site, theories learned in the classroom are transferred into hands-on experience. Along with heavy equipment operations, students in the program become proficient in servicing and maintaining heavy equipment, soil and compaction, surveying and blueprint reading, welding, commercial driver’s license, safety and first aid.

With above-average earning potential, our graduates are employed in the grading and excavating industry. Job opportunities are available all areas of the construction industry as well as mining and logging and also with state and local governments.
