Types of Financial Aid

The following table is a list of the different aid programs available at CLC.  As you can see there is quite a variety of federal, state and local sources.  An award letter informs a student of the aid package he/she is eligible for.  Click here to see your award on-lineFor purposes of financial aid, the following definitions will determine enrollment status:

  • Full time student - one who is enrolled for  12 or more credits.  (For Minnesota State Grant and Post-Secondary Child care purposes, full time is 15 or more credits!)
Summer aid is based on the same full time credits as above.

  • Three quarter (3/4) time student - one who is enrolled for 9-11 credits.

  • Half (1/2) time student - one who is enrolled for 6-8 credits.

  • Less than half time student - one who is enrolled for less than 6 credits
