Federal Perkins Loan

Central Lakes College awards a limited number of Perkins loans.  If you have Perkins Loan eligibility listed on your award letter, you must see the loan officer in the Financial Aid Office to apply.

The Federal Perkins Loan is a low interest (5%) loan for undergraduate students with exceptional financial need.   The Perkins Loan program may include cancellation provisions as follows:
     •  Teacher cancellation
     •  Head Start cancellation
     •  Military cancellation
     •  Volunteer Service cancellation
     •  Law Enforcement or Corrections Officer cancellation
     •  Nurse or Medical Technician cancellation
     •  Child or Family Service Agency cancellation
     •  Death and/or Disability cancellation

Please notify the loan officer if you are not interested in the Perkins loan award so the Financial Aid Office can award the fund to another student.
