Cultural Thursday: On Being Puerto Rican-American

In conjunction with Hispanic Heritage Month, local Brainerd community member Oscar Gonzalez will share not only what it was like to grow up in Puerto Rico and move to the mainland United States as a young man, but also his impressions regarding Anglo vs. Latino perspectives on ongoing issues and current events. This presentation, which will include insight on what it is like to be a Puerto Rican-American (U.S. Citizen) both in Puerto Rico and here on the mainland, will take place on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019 at 12 noon in the Chalberg Theater of the Brainerd CLC campus. The presentation will also be live-streamed on the CLC YouTube Broadcasting channel.
